The Venue - The wedding and reception will be held at South Shore Pavilion, in the Bay View neighborhood of Milwaukee. The Google map below can be used to generate directions. Parking is available along the park road, or at the South Shore Yacht Club.
Places to stay - We don't have a block of rooms anywhere, but the most convenient places to stay are any of the downtown hotels, or the hotels near Mitchell airport. You want specific suggestions? Fancy: The Pfister, Iron Horse. Nice and modern: Westin, Hyatt. Classic Milwaukee: Ambassador, Hilton Garden Inn (Downtown). Gambling: Potawatomi. Inexpensive: Airport hotels. Bay View is a residential neighborhood so the closest places will be available on AirBnB.
What to wear - The venue is indoors, and attire is business casual, or Sunday attire.
Gifts - We know that attending a wedding can be expensive. So, we are not expecting gifts. Your presence is a present! If you do wish to give us a little something, we are planning a fun and relaxing honeymoon camping road trip near the end of 2019. We want to buy a pop up camper and take greyhounds down south for 2 weeks so Matt can try all the different BBQ and so Amy can see the Grand Canyon. If you would like to contribute to our trip, we'd love that!
What to do Saturday or during the day Sunday - Milwaukee is awesome and there is lots to do if you are in town early. The Milwaukee Art Museum has a great permanent collection and the Calatrava is iconic. Matt and Amy have done the Miller brewery tour many times. The Harley-Davidson Museum has thousands of rare artifacts and can only be experienced here in Milwaukee. You can Dine with the Divas at Hamburger Mary's in Walker's Point on Saturday evening (shows at 7:30 and 9:30), or for Sunday brunch (noon). If the weather is nice, we will host a bonfire in our backyard on Saturday night.
